Techno‐enviro‐economic feasibility assessment of an off‐grid hybrid energy system with/without solar tracker considering pumped hydro storage and battery

Abstract This research focuses on the design optimization of an off‐grid hybrid energy system including photovoltaic (PV) and diesel generator considering storage (ESS). For this aim, techno‐enviro‐economic feasibility assessment PV/diesel, PV/diesel/battery, PV/diesel/pumped hydro (PHS) systems is investigated in a multi‐objective framework. Levelized cost (LCOE) total pollutant emission (TPE) are defined as problem objectives solved for determination components size. The impact PV tracking also sizing. Over case study, simulation results reveal that most cost‐effective PV/diesel/PHS with fixed panels which LCOE TPE 0.198$/kWh 208120 kg/year, respectively.
